Vibration graph

Lab and field tests were made using accelerometers placed on rider’s wrists, on the two ends of the handlebar and on the stem. These data were recorded to measure handlebars absorbing capacities.

BARAMIND handlebars were compared with regular handlebars from the market. Results show that BARAMIND significantly reduces vibrations transmissibility from handlebar to rider’s wrists. Thereby, muscle recovery of the upper limb is improved and fatigue is reduced.

Innovative Design

BAM City / Trek are designed using a new kind of material which is directly coming from aeronautics industry (hybrid advanced composite). This material is the best compromise between mechanical resistance, flexibility and lightness to respect our functional specifications. We make it more simple, no way to regulate flexibility downwards. Insert system is only present on the upper part to keep the handlebar rigid upwards.

Materials mechanical properties with a specific sizing are the basis of its shock absorber properties. A patent has been registered after more than 3 years of research and development.

Patented System

BAM MTB handlebar is rigid upwards and flexible and adjustable downwards thanks to its commutable insert system. Inserts work in compression which makes it possible to regulate handlebar flexibility. On the upper part, LOCK inserts (high stiffness) are used to block flexibility when you pull upwards. On the lower part, 2 different insert kit can be used : HARD or SOFT for flexibility regulation.

Combining skiing and aeronautics technologies, BAM MTB is manufactured using a one-piece RTM molding process with a foam core.

100% Made in France, Certified in Germany

BARAMIND handlebars are fully and proudly manufactured in France. Our company is based close to the Alps in St Jean de Soudain (38). Our partner factory is located in Loire Atlantique near Nantes (44). Also we can control the whole chain from design to manufacturing.

All our handlebars are tested on the ground in close collaboration with our riders. In parallel resistance lab tests are made by the ZEDLER Institut in Germany using a very high level of requirement (higher than current ISO 4210 standard).
